HOUSE PICNIC
The employees of Messrs W. Dimoek and Co. were very fortunate in having such .excellent weather for their annual picnic, -which was held on Wednesday at Maidstone Park. An interesting sports programme was. gone through, several of the events being keenly contested. Poliowing are, the results tof the sports : —Factory handicap—B. Fisher 1, H. Easton 2, F. Burrell- 3. Married men’s race —E. Griffon 1, E. Tail 2. Married women’s race—Mrs Santoss 1. Mrs J. Hill 2, Mrs J. Smith 3. Ladies’ back race—Sirs Fisher 1, Mrs Santoss 2. 120 Y r ards handicap—rC. Tunley 1, J. Walker 2, C. Muir 3. Hoad office (ladies’ race) —Miss E. Mason 1, Miss D. Smith 2. Committeemen’s race—M. Killeen 1, G. Tow 2. W. Pope 3. Nail-driving competition—Mrs Stafford 1, Mrs Lee 2.
