[Tho trial of Thomas Edwin Brown, on a charge of murdering Police-Ser-geant Hickey on May Ist last, concluded on July 31st. Brown was found guilty, with a recommendation to mercy, on the ground of his apparently eccentric state of mind. The Jcath sentence was formally passed.]
