FIRE AT MATAROA
BOARDINGHOUSE AND BILLIAEDROOM BURNED. Press Association. TAIHAPE, October 22. An unoccupied boardinghouse of twenty rooms at Mataroa, owned by Peter Gallaher, and a billiard-room adjoining, owned by Patrick Drog, and occupied by Wright, .were reduced tc ashes at 11 o’clock last night. The .nsurances on the ho’ase arc not ascertainable. The billiard-room and contents were insured for £2OO in the standard office. Tho origin of the fire s a mystery.
