BOWRON OF BERMONDSEY
CAUSE OF FIRM'S FAILURE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, July 27. John Bowron, of the late firm of Bowron Bros., leather merchants, of Bermondsey, examined in the Bankruptcy Court, said that the failure of the firm was duo to the loss of £IOO,OOO owing to the rise in the price of raw materials in the autumn of 1907, The balance-sheet for 1900 showed a deficit of £50,000. By 1909 the deficiency had risen to £125,800. Bowron Bros., of New Zealand, forgave debts to the extent of £78,000 between 1905 and 1907. ' j — '
