(Received April 21, 10.45 p.m.) Mr Gustav William Wolff, M.P., was yesterday presented with the Freedom of tho Oity of Belfast. In returning thanks for tho honour conferred upon him Mr Wolff recalled tho fact that when lie was twenty-tbreo years of ago ho and the iato Sir Edward Harland proposed to start a shipyard at Livcrpool. They were refused permission by the Liverpool harbour authorities, on the ground that they were too young for-such an undertaking. Accordingly they moved to Belfast. That was fifty years ago; now tho firm of Harland and AVolff employed 14,000 hands in its yards.
