I A farily large, and highly attentive audience, attended the Oiiera House tost night to’ hear' Mr Wilson Fritch, the American orator-lecturer, upon the subject “How we know God. 1 ’ Mr Fritch referred to the sphere of the senses, in which .we know the physical ear.h; that of the' emotions, by which humanity reaches the higher knowledge; and the sphere of reason with its limits. A man could net pass from, finite premises to an infiito conclusion, therefore, argue,i the lecturer, humanity could not know God by means of reason. For this knowledge it hod to rely on the still more wonderful sense of intuition.
