AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE

Senator G. F. Poarce, Minister for Defence, proposes to ask the Admiralty for the temporary use of the cruiser Psyche as a training-ship for the Australian navy, and has also asked tho Admiralty to recommend an officer to act as director of the Naval College. Recruits for the service are coming in well.
