RECOGNITION OF ENGINEMEN

At a largely attended meeting of the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Locomotive Engine Drivers, Firemen and Cleaners* Association, the following resolution was passed’; "That this branch tender its most hearty thanks to the Government, the Railways Committee and the members of Parliament for their recognition of our association; ahio that this branch do all in its power to allay the ill-feeling that has arisen between the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants and the Engine •Drivers, Firemen and Cleaners* Association."
