GIRL PEACE SCOUTS
(By “Scoutmistrcss.”) Last Saturday a few of the Wellington scouts visited I’etono, and proceeded to the Hutt Park with the Pctone scouts. The remainder of the Wellington scouts went to Te Aro baths to witness the lifesaving demonstration, given by Mr Henry. The scouts meet at Harcourt’s to-night from 7 o’clock to 8.30. A signalling demonstration. is to be given by a signalling expert. To-morrow evening, at 7.30, the girls who attend Dr Platts-Mills’ ambulance class will meet at Mrs Quick’s. On Saturday next the scouts meet at Te Aro baths at 2.45 sharp. They should, bring a onc-piece bathing dress with them, also a towel. Girls who are buying new bathing dresses arc requested to get dark blue, buttoned on the shoulder. „ The scouts meet at the baths every line Saturday throughout tb© summer. On wet Saturdays the scouts will assemble at Harcourt's room. No. 6 of the “Scout Law” eays:—“A scout is a friend to animals.” This means that a scout will not harm or kill any animal unless it be injurious to life and health.
