1 FEESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, May 30. A single man named Henry Charles Jgovens, aged twenty-eight, died suddenly ©l the 'oil launch Floral to-day. He lad been working on a farni at Maratai, »nd complained yesterday of feeling unwell. He was advised to consult a doctor, and joined the Floral at Whitford to-day for Auckland, and when the launch was off Howick Stevens suddenly expired. The body was brougM on to the city and placed in the morgue. OTiMEDIN, May 30. The coroner spent all day to-day hearing evidence touching the death of James Henderson, linesman in the employ of -the electrical department . of the eity corporation, who was accidentally electrocuted last Wednesday. The verdict was that death was accidental, and due in a measure to the deceased neglecting or. <linnry precautions for safety such as wearing rubber gloves, climbing too hish above the line on which he was working, and using an uncoiled tie wire. Tlio latter came into contact with a low ■tension wire, short circuited, and caused the flash which startled Henderson and ■threw him forward and down on to awire carrying 400 volts, and death ensued almost immediately. The coroner tuldcd a rider that all low and high tension electric power wires in the city should bo properly insulated. GISBORNE, May 30. George Barron, sheep farmer, who was injured in a trap accident a few days, ago, died last night. He had been twenty years in. the district. TIMAETJ, May 30. Mrs Kichard Cowles, aged sixty-four, <licd suddenly at h'er son-in-law's residence yesterday. Medical evidence at the inquest showed that them had been u rupture at the base of the brain, A verdict of death from cerebral compres«ion was rotunsed.
