WATER AND DRAINAGE
FOB MIRAMAR BOROUGH. Air AT. L. Mostayer, civil engineer, has prepared a scheme for tho supply of water to, and the proper drainage of the borough of Miramar. Tho ostiinated cost is ATS,(loo—for water supply A 23,000, and A23,Ui10 for .drainage. Tho council has decided to adept tho scheme. It is proposed to obtain the money trom tho State Guaranteed Advances Board in instalments covering a period of two vears. A provisional application has already been approved. The work will lie carried out under tho supervision of Air Alestayer, as consultin'’ engineer. It will talc© about three years to complete. The water-sup-ply scheme will bo undertaken first. It lias not yet been decided whether tho work will be done by contract or by day labour.
