Reuter's Berlin correspondent states that a man named Lackensteen, impersonating Mr Fred Vanderbilt, tho American millionaire, endorsed bills totalling £374,000/ which Princo Miguel of Braganza was induced to give 'for gold, emerald, and other mining shares, which are now alleged to bo worthless. Mr Vanderbilt has repudiated the endorsement on the, ground that it is forged. Two hundred thousand pounds' worth of bills have been seized in Berlin. It is understood Lackensteen is in Paris.
