Last Christmas Day a man named Robins out the throat of another man named Owensworth, by whom, prior to marrying Robins, his wife had had a child. This caused constant unhappiness, and Robins had threatened to murder both her and Owensworth. Robins has now been sentenced to death for murdering Owensworth, though the jury brought in a strong recommendation to mercy.
