The'milk supply to the , Masterton dairy , factory now shows a slight decrease, though the quantity of niilk received >s much larger than at this period last'vear. The largest cheque paid out to a supplier for last month's milk was .£6O. Several cheques amounting to .£4O and J!SO were:also paid:to suppliers. There are some very good riflemen in the ranks of the newly-formed Kaitawa Rifle Club. A number of, trophies have been presented to the club. . It is stated that Mr John Smith, of Martinborough, has purchased- Mr J. Chapman's interest in the property at Tawaha. Mr J. Bridges, organiser _ iot the Nolicense party, is at present m the South Wairarapa. The Martinborough school will hold its annual treat on March 17th on Mr W. J- Martin's property. The concrete kerbing in High street, Carterton, is being extended down «s far as Clifton avenue. It is anticipated that there will be a good of Wairarapa voruntefers at the Kitchener, camp next week. The arrangements 'are very convenient for the Wairarapa lads, vrho can get, the Saturday off. The numerous friends of Mrs ;Arthur S. Judd will learn with regret-that her health, which has been indifferent for some time past, has rendered it necessary for her to enter Dr Smyth's private hospital to. undergo an operation. Sir W. Redmond, well-known in the Wairarapa, has taken over the Club Hotel here.
