WELLINGTON ART CLUB
A meeting of lady members of the newly-formed Wellington Art Olub was held, in the offioe of the president (Mr H. H. Rayward) yesterday afternoon. The ladies were received by the president, two of the vice-presidents (Dr Hay and Mr Walter Leslie), a,nd many matters of importance, particularly to lady members, were discussed. The secretary, Mr E. A. S. Killiok, intimated that thirty ladies, practically representing all the lady artists of Wellington, had either joined the club or made application, for membership, and the project had
been received with groat enthusiasm. The- election of the ladies' committee will take place at a meeting to bo held on Fridav, February 4th, at 7.45.
The members present were given an opportunity of inspecting over fifty pictures which have been sent in for the art union, and wero subsequently entertained at afternoon tea" by the president.
