FIRE AT AUCKLAND
PKEB3 ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, January 17. A fire broke out iu Karangahape road, Newton, to-night, in a shop occupied by Messrs Dawson Bros., linen merchants. The brigade extinguished the outbreak, but not before the shop was gutted. All the stock was destroyed by fire and water. There was no one on the premises at the time, and it is not known whether there were any insurances. -
