(To the Editor "N.Z. Times.") Sir,—l notice a letter in your issue of the Bth inst. from "No. 55" on the question of police uniforms. '« ur ci.rrespondent is quite correct, and in justice to our late chief. There are some left. Mr Commissioner St. John Br-n----nigan, I should like to verify, not only on the question, of uniforms, but organisation generally, which we arc led to believo has deteriorated somewhat.—l am, etc .
