The Prince of Wales presided last Monday at Marlborough House over the eighteenth annual general meeting of the Associated Board of the Eoyal Academy of Music and the Eoyal College of Music, of which his Eoyal Highness is president. • In the course of the proceedings it was announced that the exhibitions offered by the Board for the first time' in Australasia in connection with the examinations of 1906 had been awarded as follows: —William Conway (Melbourne), advanced pianoforte; Phyllis Pell (Nelson, New Zealand), solo .performer, pianoforte; M. Anita Murray (Rockhampton), advanced pianoforte; Zona Trader (West Maitland), solo performer, violin. These exhibitioners, with' the exception of Miss Pell, who was unable to accept her exhibition, will' take up their studies at the Soya] Academy of Music or the Eoyal College of Music during the coming winter. The medals offered in connection with the local centre examinations had been awarded as follows: New South Wales.—Advanced grade, gold medal, Annie Chambers (Sydney), pianoforte. Advanced grade, silver medal, Olga E. Armstrong (Sydney), pianoforte. Intermediate grade, gold medal, Celia MoMenamin (Sydney), harmony. Intermediate grade, silver meial, Kathleen Long (Parramatta), violin. Victoria.—Advanced grade, gold medal, William Conway (Melbourne), pianoforte. Advanced grade, silver medal, Phoebe W.
