The rocrvcii of the city of WELLINGTON hereby gives public notice, that such Council, proposes to borrow (byway of Special Loan 1 within the meaning of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901,’’ and its amendments) ;he sum of .£IOO,OOO, to be' expended on the undertaking hereunder set forth : UNDERTAKING: Providing a system of Drainage for the Melrose District, being the whole of the old Melrose Borough exclusive of the portion thereof described in the First Schedule to “The Wellington. (City) Suburbs Sanitation Act, 1893,” and constructing private drains and house connections with sewers and . , drains in that District on ’ the Deferred Payment System under “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900.” .£IOO,OOO This District is now part of the ■ City of Wellington. ■ The Council proposes to pledge a Special Rate of one penny (Id) in the £ on, the Rateable Value (on the basis of the Unimproved Value) of all rateable property within the said District, as security for the said loan of .£IOO,OOO, and ■ the Interest and Sinking Fund thereon. It is proposed that the whole amount of the loan shall be repayable at the expiration of a term of twentyfive, years computed from the first day of November, 1907.
