Morton, is a Victorian, thirty-eight years of ago, and has high recommendations from hir Samuel Gil.lot (late Mayor of Melbourne), tho nrosent Lord Mayor, aud Mr A. C. Mountain, City Engineer of Melbourne. .Mr Morton lias had experience m every branch of his profession, during his period of service in tho Public Works Department ot Victoria and in the engineering department of Melbourne Corporation.
