The followin'’ bands have been nominated for the Marton contest to be held in May nest under the auspices of the North Island Amateur Band Association: —Hawora Borough, Marton Braa>. Palmerston North Municipal, Carterton Brass. Stratford Municipal, Elthnra Brass, Feilding Brass, Dannovirke Brass. Blenheim Half Battalion, and the Hnntcrville Cosmopolitan. ' The names of Messrs C. Trnsaell (Waihi) and G. A. Martin (Wanganui) are to bo submitted to the bands for the selection of a judge for the contest.
