The property on Lambton quay, formerly known as Bodloy’s Private Hotel has been re - named “The Trocadero,” and will .be opened in a week's time on hew and somewhat ordinal lines by the proprietor.' "The ,Trocadoro” will have all the comforts of a first-class hotel, and all the advantages of a reslauitent. It should bo a popular resort with country people and visitors from afar. The method upon which it will be run will be a sort of “free and easy” principle as far as the guests are concerned. They may come in from 0.30 in the morning till midnight, and will always find meals and bods awaiting them. They can stay a short period or a long, but they wili bo charged only for the exact numbers of meals they have, or the number of times they occupy bedrooms. Therefore if a man comes to town to soo his friends and takes a room at "The Trocedro,” he need not come back for meals, because he will not be charged for them. The whole place has been renovated, and there will ■ho between eighty and ninety bedrooms for the use of guests besides sittingrooms, bathrooms and lavatories en suite on each floor.. The bedrooms are cosily furnished, and the lighting in every case is good,.;and the provision for fire escape thoroughly adequate. A series of balconies from the several floors of "The Trocadero” will give visitors an interesting look-out on the streets of the busy city. The bedrooms for , the occupation of visitors making a stay in the city are specially fitted and eqnipned. The diningroom has been enlarged to' twice its original size, and the kitchen has been doubled in capacity and flirted with a, new and up-to-date range. Parties wishing to secure their meals in privacy can have separate rooms ’ and attendants on application. _ The-whole building is fitted with electricity and incandescent burners. "The Trocadero" is bound to become popular in a very short time.
