Dr Pollen has been appointed Health Officer for tho port of Wellington. Mr D. Robertson, chief clerk in the General Post Office, has returned from .Wanganui, whore ho had been acting as postmaster. The Hon A. J. Cadnian arrived at New Plymouth yesterday from Auckland on business connected with ironsand development. Mr Cadman will ■ reach Wellington in a day or two. Sergeant Norwood, of the Wellington police force, is to leave for Wanganui in a day or two’s time, he having been transferred to that town. He is to he presented with a souvenir of esteem by his fellows.
