MURDERS IN AUSTRALIA.
MELBOURNE, March 8. Lynch, who has been arrested and charged on his own confession with murdering a girl named Maher, states that being out of work and depressed ho took a razor intending to take his own life. When about; to do this an overpowering impuls’e seized him to end Maher’s life. The woman’s hands were terribly cut in tho struggle. ADELAIDE; March 8. The trial of Mary Schippan for the murder of her sister at Towitta is arousing intense interest. A great crowd assembled inside and outside the Court, and the police had to protect the witness Nitschke. The evidence in the case will be published on Monday.
