Tho third day’s racing of the Auckland Racing Club’s spring meeting was held yesterday. The annual show of the Manawatu Agri. cultural and Pastoral Association opened yesterday at Palmerston North. Tho Federal Minister of Customs has intimated that there will be no alteration in the duties on narcotics and stimulants.
