ACCIDENTS.
(Received August 5, 10.55 p.tn.) CONDON, August 5. During the launch of the battleship Etnperater Alexander a thunderstorm overthrew a flagstaff. Three persons were killed and several wounded. AUCKLAND, August 5. Inspector Cullen has received a tele, gram from Dargaville stating that James. Gorman, a late cabdriver in Auckland, was sailing in tho Wairoa river, when the boat capsized and he was drowned. DUNEDIN, August 5. Benjamin Barrow was found dead in the snow near Wedderbum. He is supposed to have a wife, two sons and a sister in Dunedin. o
