OPERA HOUSE. The Montgomery Biograph Company gave a change of programing at the. Opera ITon.se on Saturday night. Tin. sketch of the Spanish bull tight war. watched with intense interest. The ex. cellent concert company was greeted with hearty applause throughout. The final performance will he given this evening, when the scenes of the Queen's funeral will he again depicted on the canvas. THEATRE. -ROYAL. The Dix Gaiety Company drew the usual crowded audience to the Theatre Royal on Saturday night. The wondroua “F.terry the Frog” again evoked hearty applause, and also wonderment by his sinuous gyrations and marvellous balancing. Messrs Frank Yorke and Tom Leonard each appeared to advantage, and the Williams quartette had to resxiond to encores on each occasion it appeared. Miss Ida Clarkson had to repeat her song ‘‘As Your Hair Grows Whiter/’ and a similar exaction was made in the case of Mr Arthur Hahn, who sang “Asleep in the Deep." A clever turn is that of M.> Arnold Jarvis, an equilibrist and balancer, whose feats are all neat and in part difficult; The fafee which .concluded the programme. “That Ticket’s Too Big,’ : awakened the heartiest of laughter from the audience, and sent it home weli contented. -s'.,

The large audiences which are greeting Fuller’s Empire Vaudeville Company ever night are ample proof of the versatile ability of the artists now engaged. On Saturday night a new programme war given, and the audience testified its appreciation of the programme by encoring nearly- every item. Mr Denis Carnev was again first favourite. He is one of the best comic vocalists that has yet ap neared at the Choral Hall. The Beverleys_, in a new sketch, entitled “After the Honeymoon/'’ scored a distinct success, and were emphatically recalled. Misr Maud Faning’s coon impersonations arc still a big feature of the entertainment. Mr Geo. Williamson, whose last few nights are announced, proved himself tc be a capable black-faced comedian.
