A LIVERPOOL TRAGEDY.
A tragedy of a shocking nature has been discovered by the Liverpool police. It appears that a. woman, named Christ. opher.son, residing in Parr street, went out, leaving her six-year-old daughter and a young man who lodged in the hou&'e at home. When the mother returned an hour later both child and lodger Were missing. The body of the girl was subsequently discovered in the ashpit behind the house. Her throat was cut, and a scarf was tightly fastened round her neck. , A doctor who examined the bouy stated that the child had been subjected tc outrageous treatment.
