Tlie .annual meeting of the Athletic Football Club was hole at tho Occidental Hotel last evening. About fifty members were present, Mr G. F. C. Campbell presided. Sixteen new members, were elected.. The report, and balance-sheet were adopted. The latter showed a satisfactory financial position. A large amount is, however, outstanding in subscriptions. The following officers were elected ;—President, Mr G. F. C. Campbell; vice-presidents, Messrs E. Davey, C. J. Cooper, G. Robertson and J. A. Coates, Captain Falconer, Major Madocks (all re-elected), and Mr J. A. Thomson; captain, Mr E. Coady; honorary treasurer. Mr A. B. Charters; honorary secretary, Mr 11. v. Hood; general committee, Messrs Ramsay, Hyams, Kintoul, Pagni, Prichard, Rash and it. Goudov; auditors, Messrs C. J. Cooper and J. A. Thomsen . senior match committee, Messrs Coady, Hales' and’’O’Brien; delegates to the Rugby Union. Messrs Bourkc, Ramsay and Hood; gymnasium committee, Messrs Bom-Ice-, Rash ami O’Brien. A hearty vote, of--thanks was accorded Mr H. D. Bell, who has been president of the club since its formation. A vote of thanks was also passed to Mrßouvke for his services in coaching 1 the junior teams. Messrs' Goldie, Murphy find Pagni (the retiring treasurer) were elected life members of the club. - Presentations were made to Messrs G: N. Goldie and J. P. Murphy on the'Occasion of their recent marriage. , Practice ’wilt _ commence today. The-gjmnasium-will he open on Monday and Wednesday next, and after Easter on Tuesday's and Thursdays. The annual general meeting of the Wellington Rugby Union will ho held at Hie Troca.dero this evening. ' Practice matched will bo held by most of, the local clubs this afternoon, in view of matches to be played,during the Easier holidays with various outside clubs
