An adjourned meeting of stewards of the Napier Park Racing Club was held this afternoon, when the riding of Muiuroa’s jockey. Holmes, in the race for tho Napier Cup was further inquired into. Some evidence not available at tho preliminary inquiry held after the race ira-i tendered’. The stewards decided that while viewing Holmes’s conduct with some suspicion, the evidence hardly warranted his disqualification, but they resolved to warn him that in future his conduct oi-. their racecourse would he closelyy watched. A letter was received front Mr C. O’Uouoghuc, tho owner of Derriugcottc, asking that the stakes in tho Bennett Memorial Btakes be held over pending an inquiry into tho ownership of Jadoo. winner of that race, and alleging that Jadoo was wrongly nominated. A. reply is to oo sent staling that Jadoo was nominated by her owner, Mr -ivaiwliata, and that the stewards have no information of any other ownership.
