ENGINES CONDEMNED
CAUSES OF A RECENT DISASTER,
SYDNEY, March 16. Professor Warron, one of the experts appointed by the Coroner to inquire into the recent Sydenham disaster, is of opinion that the chief cause of the accident was the rate of travelling, i->-timated at between forty and fifty miles an hour. He condemned the class of engine used on tho train, .which he said should not bo allowed for the safety of the public to continue in tho service ui its present form.
