LABOUR DISPUTES.

PEESS ASSOCIATION. DUNEDIN,, June H. At a meeting of the Conciliation Board to-day on the saddlers' dispute being mentioned it was found that the parties were unable to agree, a number of the employers declining to sign any award based on an arrangement, made at the recent conference. This, it js understood, arises from the fact that an award dealing with the same trade has been made in Auckland, and the question of competition under possibly unequal circumstances has arisen. It was decided to refer the matter to the Arbitration Court. The Board was engaged for the rest of the day with a dispute-between .the. Coalminers' Union and the. proprietors ,bfj the Allandale coal mine;'Shag Point. The 1 recommendations of the Board will be made known on Friday.,
