FIRES.
Yesterday morning a fire occurred at Mr W. J. Garrett’s house, Ngahauranga gorge. Mr Garrett suffered loss to the extent of £4O or £SO. The house was insured in the Norwich Union office for £l5O. Mr Alfred Garrett’s residence at Ohariu, destx-oyed by fire on Monday, was insured for £l2O, the furniture for £IOO and the piano for £2o—all in the National office.
