BAFFLED BURGLARS.

CuRTSTCHOKoa, April 17Some time during Saturday night the Black Horse Hotel iu Lincoln road, near the Sunnyside Asylum, was burglariously entered, aud the safe removed. This morning the safe was found with the back cut out in a paddock about 466 yards away. Two sledgo hammers and other blacksmith’s tools were found alongside it. , . ~ The landlord had taken his oasbbox up to his room, and nothing valuable was left in the safe. „ The burglary was evidently the work or experienced safe “ smashers,” who got nothing for their pains. .
