The Wakatipu, which is duo this morning from Melbourne, via Hobart and South, sails at 8 tonight for Sydney. The Opawa left at 8 last night for Blenheim. If ■she is unable to negotiate the bar this morning, tho steamer will probably return at once to Wellington after landing her passengers. Yesterday morning tho Queen of the South '(for Picton and Wellington) was bar-bound 41 Foxton, and Captain Harvey, in a telegram tt) the local agents, stated that it was doubtful whether she would be ablo to get oat last night. From the Grey i she takes a load of ooal to New Plymouth. The Oreti is bringing a load of produce from Picton to Wellington to-day. It Is not yet decided whether sho will proceed hence to Wanganui or to Groymoutb. Tlio Dlugadfee arrived from Auckland via ISftst Coast at 6.15 last evening, and loaves on the return trip to-night. Very bad weather Was experienced the whole of the way down the coast, and prevented the steamer working nearly all tho bays. For two days she remained at Tauranga waiting for tho weather to moderate, but at length she resumed her journey, and was forced to carry on to Wellington the greater portion of her cargo for coastal stations. Included in the steamer’s cargo for this port are 200 tons of sugar and 1000 oases of kerosene Irom Auckland.

The Wavorley, from Nelson, came in at 7.40 yesterday morning, and during the day took in a full load of tho mining machinery for the Taitapu Estate Goldmluing Company. Tho Walnui was to leave Greymouth for West port last night, and should she get away from thi latter place this morning, she will leave Nelson for Wellington at 8 o’clock to-morrow morning. II the steamer is detained in Westport until to-night her departure from Nelson for Wellington will b« postponed until 8.30 p.m. on Sunday.
