Qualified Hunters are horses that have been regularly hunted with a recognised pack of hounds during the seasons 1896 or 1897, and the master’s certificate of qualification must be produced at the scales. Hack.—A Hack is a hors© that has never won an advertised race at any time, hack and hunter races excepted, and is not, or has not been, nominated in any race, other than hack and hunter races, at the same meeting. All nominations, entries and acceptances, accompanied by the necessary amounts payable, close at the Club Hotel, Wellington, not later than 9 p.m. on the advertised dates of closing.
