FIRE BRIGADE COMPETITIONS.

Tho Municipal Firo Brigade's annual competitions will bo hold to-day on the reclaimed land, commencing at 1.45 p.m. Tho programme is as follows ; First event (for teams of two men). —To 'start from off tho platform of vehicle, to ; number off correctly after the start is given ; : uncover fireplug; fix hydrant, lay off and ; connect one length of hoso.
