Altogether five cases of small-pox are reported. (Received April 12, 12.45 a.tn.l Sydney, April 11. The sentence of death passed on Mrs Makin, for child murder, has been commuted to imprisonment for life. The date for the execution of Makin has not been fixed, pending the consideration of the petition to appeal to the Privy Council on points decided by the full Court. Melbourne, April 11.
The liquidators’ report on the Metropolitan Bunk affairs, shows that the total depreciation of assets since the issue of thu last balance-sheer, is L 398,000.
