Tha body of Mr George Clarke, Inspector of permanent way between Mercer and Mokau on the railway line, who has been missing since the 2od instant, was reoo-rere i in the Waikato River yesterday, Clark* had been in the Government service for 18 years. He was transferred from Otago to Hamilton in August last. Hi* life waa insured in tho Government office for £l5O.

J be doctor gave a certificate that death was caused by heart di^CAse. A well-known farmer in the Waikato district, Mr John McNiohol, died yesterday in the Hamilton Hospital of pneumonia, contracted through a severe wetting, caused by hij falling iuto the Waikato river, Ths deceaved was one of the largest sheep and draught horse breeders in the Waikato.
