The Postal authorities have arranged a Code of Signals to be exhibited from the flagstaff on top - of the Post Office tower regarding the movements of inward mail steamers and arrival of mails. Direct Service. White Pennant, DH in centre Direct steamer at Hobart. White and Blue Pennant, A in centre — Direct steamer at Auckland. Red Pennant, L in centre—Direct steamer at Lyttelton.
