THE DUNEDIN EXHIBITION.
(per press association.) Dunedin, April 17. At a meeting of the Exhibition Commissioners to-day. the Judging and Awards Committee reported tha_t the work was nearly completed. There were 36 classes and 203 subdivisions, and 107 juries ; there were 18 special awards, 1129 first class, 593 second class, 264 third, and 87 commended; there were 21 applications to keep open for sale at night next week, which were de. dined, owing to the danger of fire. The result of the Anthropometries! Bureau showed receipts about £9O, and expenditure £l4B. It was decided to present the 'instruments to Mr Forbes, curator of the -Chiistohurch Museum, who had organised the court. The President stated-that a : movement was on foot with the Seamen’s Union to buy the concert hall for a trade 1 hall. The 600.000 th admission was passed 1 to-night, the total admissions having now 1 reached 601,006.
