NEW ZEALAND TRADE.

IMPORTS AND EXPORTS. The New Zealand imports for the past quarter were valued at £1,685,521, as against £1,721,988 for the March quarter of 1889. The exports for the quarter were valued at no less than £3,792,982, as against £3,417,734. For the financial year ended the 31st ult, the value of the imports was £6,260,630, as against £5,908,224 for the previous year. The exports attained the very large value of £9,714,513, being a million and a half in advance of the previous year’s exports (£8,201,409), and nearly 3J millions sterling above the imports for the year.
