An item of San Francisco news is that Mr John Pearce, of tbe great shipbuilding firm, who are also part owners of the mall steamers Zealandia and Australia, has offered, for a consideration, ta place the s.B. Alaska and Arizona, in the Pacific service, and to undertake a mail service between London and Auckland in 35 days.
