PRINCESS ENA.

THE PRINCESSS’S CONVERSION

LONDON, March 10

‘‘The Times,” in congratulating King Alfonso of Spain and Princess Ena of Battenberg, who are about to bo married, says the personal and political aspects of the union are attractive, but religious aspects are less so. The sudden conversion of the Princess to the Catholic faith for a purpose, says ‘The Times,” is not to the taste of the English nation. If tho new Queen visits ho-me she will be gladly welcomed, but the nation will not gladly welcoxne the sight of Roman confessors at Buckingham Palace or at State ceremonials at Westminster Cathedral.
