His Honor Sir Robert Stout, Chief Justice, on the application of Mr T. M. Wilford, granted a decree absolute yesterday in the case—which had been brought in the divorce and matrimonial causes jurisdiction of the Court—of\ Amy Hutchinson v. Matthew Hutchinson. The petition was for dissolution of the marriage on the ground of desertion for seven years., Petitioner was given the custody of her child. There was a representative gathering of members at the rooms of the Industrial Association on the 6th inst. to bid good-bye to Mr J. P. Luke (president of the association), who is about to visit Great Britain. The chair was taken by Mi’ David Robertson (vicepresident), who, on behalf of members of the association, presented Mir Luke with a travelling-bag. Mr R. E. Bannister proposed the toast of Mr Luke’s health, which was enthusiastioallsr honoured. Mir Luke having replied felicitations were added to those J Messrs Robertson and Bannister hi Messrs Balinger, Alien, Thomas Wardell, and A.
