LABOUR IN AUSTRALIA
THE POLITICAL OUTLOOK. SYDNEY, January 23. The annual report of the Political Labour League, reviewing the position, says:—“With the acceptance' of the responsibilities of opposition the party loses much of its former power. Until it fights its Avay to office it can exert little influence upon legislation and administration. Consequently, Labour members and supporters must prepare for a season of continuous fighting. Political enemies long kept apart by fiscal and other party considerations are now practically united, and upon Labour is cast the responsibility of overthrowing their designs and securing to the Australian people that fuller citizenship and fairer opportunity at which Labour aims everywhere.”
