EXECUTION OF A MURDERER.

AN ADELAIDE TRAGEDY. ADELAIDE, January 5. Gn October 28th Caroline Hinds was shot by her sweetheart, Albert William Bonfield. At the inquest the father of the girl stated that he and his wife objected to her keeping company with Bonfield, and only agreed because she was so strongly attached to him, and threatened that when she grew up to be a woman she would go away with him. The girl’s mother said that it was impossible to break off the attachment. Her daughter, had several times told her that Bonfield had threatened to shoot her if she spoke to a man. Bonfield was tried on a charge of wilful murder, and, being found guilty, was sentenced to death. He was executed to-day, death being instantaneous.
