BOUND FOR AUCKLAND

On Wednesday night the British team left for Auckland in the steamer Talcapuna and had an exceptionally rough passage. The vessel ploughed into a head gale and nearly all of tho two hundred passengers on board were prostrated wit i sea-sickness. So heavy was the sea that a quantity of deck cargo was lost overboard. Members of the team were so upset by the trip that they were unable to face the official reception at Auckland until Friday, the day after their arrival.
