It is not often that five relations of an average age '"* of seventy-seven sit down together to a Christmas dinner. Such an event, however, our Wanganui correspondent states, took place at the residence of Mr Daniel Jones, Springvale, on Christmas Day, and the relatives referred to were —Mrs Alexander Crichton, eighty-three years of age; Mr Crichton, seventy-three; Mr Daniel Smith, eighty-one; Mr Joseph Hughes,, seventy-five ; and Mr Thomas Scrivener,, seventy-three.
