Air W. J. Culver, general secretary of the Liberal and Labour Federation, visited Alangaweka tlie other day, when he was welcomed at a complimentary “ social ’’ organised by the local Liberals. There was a crowded attendance in the Assembly Rooms, presided over by Air Horublow, when Air Culver gave an address, aud a concert programme was rendered. Orer three hundred afterwards sat down to supper in the Oddfellows’ Hall, and the festivities closed with a very successful dance. ■
